The Union Ministry of Education has ordered to NTA (NATIONAL TESTING AGENCY) to defer this year’s JEE MAINS till MAY last week.
All this has been done to take precaution for the recent COVID -19 or Corona Virus which has struck the world and India being an integral part of it, is facing a huge problem.Moreover, Modi has announced a 21 day lockdown to avoid and break the cycle of transmission of the corona virus.
NTA has earlier issued a notice on March 18 regarding JEE Main postpone scheduled for April 5, 7, 8, 9 and 11. The notice also informed about new dates to be announced by March 31. Students were by now expecting that the exam might be conducted somewhere in April but this latest information from the HRD minister has turned over all the speculation.
There is no announcement on final dates or the schedule of JEE Main as of now. NTA is expected to soon make official announcement regarding when JEE Main will be conducted.
